EVENT - 2016 / NEWZEALAND

At New Zealand Spinal Trust head office in Christchurch NZ we are taking the opportunity to give back to our community, start SCI awareness young and demonstrate independent, meaningful living for people with an SCI .   To that end we are partnering with a local supermarket and low decile school to provide a lunch to needy kids. At the same time we will be seeking to dispel myths, break the ice, and display to kids that folks in wheelchairs are just ordinary people doing life.  We will line up 'Subway Sandwiches' style and make sandwiches for the kids, getting them up and close to folk who live life in wheelchairs. There will be a short talk about the importance of looking after your spine for your whole life followed by some fun in the school yard in Wheelchair Rugby Wheelchairs.
